3RD SHIFT (NIGHTS) WELDERS - REQUIRED IMMEDIATELY - TEMP & PERMANENT POSITIONS - WHITBY, ONTARIO

We are adding a 3rd shift to handle large customer orders in our Whitby plant.  1-2 years minimum experience welder, able to operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment; resistance, seam or spot welding of steel pallet racking. Fast paced environment, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail required.

SENIOR MECHANICAL DESIGNER - WHITBY ONTARIO

Senior level Mechanical Designer required to provide production level design, evaluaton and costing on steel structures (pallet racking).

Must have 5-8 years experience with production level drawing experience, preferably in pallet racking or material handling. Structural design and evaluation of trusses, or material handling components an asset. As a team player who takes initiative and pride in their work, you will be working in a manufacturing environment collaborating with internal departments and direct customer requests. ADVANCED KNOWLEDGE OF AUTOCAD REQUIRED.

Job summary includes:

  • Produce working drawings, detail drawings, and bills of materials for pallet racking, mezzanines, building layouts, and installation drawings using AutoCAD
  • Analyze pallet racking designs and systems for compliance to various standards such as CSA and RMI
  • Liaise with vendors for technical information for specifications
  • Completion of post-secondary education in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering degree or diploma, ideally with a P.Eng designation or registered as an EIT
  • 5-8 years relevant industry experience in steel component design and evaluation
  • Knowledge of standard drafting and manufacturing practices including welding, rollforming, and sheet metal
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, while providing initiative and positive contribution to the team
  • Knowledge of building codes, structural codes, and design criteria
  • Local building permit submission experience an asset
  • BOM creation, sales support and quotation for sales staff
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers

INSTALLERS REQUIRED FOR PALLET RACKING - BC ONTARIO

You will require a dependable vehicle as the jobs are located in industrial areas and some jobs are out of town work.  Mileage paid if driving.  There will be some overtime required, depending on the scope of the project. Two full time positions are available with our Vancouver crew.  Starting immediately.

Job Skills and Requirements: Grade 12 education an asset; Good command of English language; Experience with power tools, scissor lift and forklift an asset; Experience with installing racking systems; an asset; Physically demanding and not afraid of heights; Must be responsible, organized and dependable; Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing; Valid driver’s licence. Monday to Friday (day shift, may require over-time). $19.00 - $21.00/hour, depending on experience.  Paid weekly on Thursdays; 90 day probation and review; Benefits available after 3 months.  Please email resume to melissah@naseco.com
